IGNITING CULTURAL CHANGE: A proactive approach to organizing

“We believe that setting the cultural conditions with a longer-term and more coordinated approach to cultural, organizing, and policy work will allow us to spend less time, money, and energy to win the type of change we want to see. It will build more efficiency and coordination into our movements and make them more oriented towards where people already are. But more importantly, we need to build capacity to do more proactive cultural organizing because cultural change is the change we want. We don’t just want laws that protect the rights of all people. We want a culture that believes that all people have rights, that these rights need to be protected, and that it is all of our responsibilities to do that.”
